Assessing and intervening for children ages 2 through 11 in Harford County

Our Purpose

The Safe Start Program is an assessment and intervention program for families with children ages 2-11 in Harford County that provides behavioral management techniques, stress management, problem-solving, budgeting, communication, and organization skills. The 90- to 120-day program focuses on preventing child abuse and neglect by providing a continuum of services that support and strengthen families through screenings, referrals, and intervention services either in the family home or in the community. Prior to discharge, wrap-around services can be arranged with various agencies in Harford County depending upon what services are still needed.
