“This is not your traditional clinic,” said Erin Moyer, Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is based at the Fallsway, a behavioral health and substance misuse treatment clinic based at Our Daily Bread Employment Center. “Beyond talk therapy, we also provide food, clothing, benefits, and shelter.”
The clinic opened on July 1, 2019, amid the bustling atmosphere of Our Daily Bread. It serves patients from Our Daily Bread as well as Christopher Place Employment Academy, Weinberg Housing Resource Center – Baltimore’s Shelter, My Sister’s Place Women’s Center, Basilica Place Senior Housing, and My Brother’s Keeper in Irvington, West Baltimore.
At the Fallsway Clinic Erin Moyer, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker serves as the designated therapist, along with Addiction Psychiatrist, Dr.Osian-Dugan, and a Therapeutic Support Specialist (TSS).
“Since the summer opening, the staff has seen an increase in clients contemplating and moving toward a change in their substance use,” said Lee Martin, Program Manager of Our Daily Bread.
Fostering this change in attitude among our clients are effective talk, support groups based at our programs including Living Free at the Weinberg Housing and Resource Center shelter; Seeking Safety group at My Sister’s Place Women’s Center, Relapse Prevention group at Our Daily Bread Employment Center; and the Medication to Assist Treatment with Dr.Osian-Dugan.
