Position description
Our ESL program is unique because we offer a flexible schedule for volunteers and students. Our drop in classes are comprised of small groups or one-on-one teaching and offer a computer language lab. Volunteers will receive orientation, training, and teaching resources. Ability to speak Spanish is not required. Volunteer will teach English in small groups or one-on-on and help students improve their English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.Hours or times of day volunteers are needed: Monday through Friday (10:00am - noon and 1:00pm - 3:00pm), Tuesday and Thursday (7:00pm - 9:00pm) and Saturday (10:00am - noon).
Special skills required or recommended for this position: Ability to speak Spanish is not required. Volunteers should have command of the English language, relate well to people, appreciate cultural diversity, and be dependable, flexible and patient. No previous experience necessary. Training and teaching resources are provided.
