Position description
Our Daily Bread serves more than a quarter million meals to the hungry of Baltimore City each year. We offer nutritious lunches every day of the year, and breakfasts to seniors and individuals with disabilities each weekday. Our Daily Bread relies completely on a team of volunteers to prepare and serve an average of 700 meals per day. Individuals or small groups are welcome. There is a short orientation the day of service for new volunteers.Hours or times of day volunteers are needed: Lunch shifts runs from 9:00am to 1:00pm, 7 days a week. Breakfast shift is also available Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 8:30am. Please call ahead to schedule a shift, no walk-ins, please.
Special skills required or recommended for this position: The minimum age to volunteer is 14 with adult supervision. Volunteers 15 years or older may volunteer unescorted.
