Position description
Gallagher Services offers volunteer opportunities that enrich the lives of people with developmental disabilities through friendship building activities. Faith Friends bring Gallagher individuals together with adults in the community to share friendship and spiritual growth. Volunteers help individuals living in Gallagher residences become actively involved in the worship and social life of their faith community. Faith Friends may also be involved in the preparation of an individual to participate in the special rites of their church, temple, or mosque. Volunteers are also welcome to participate in an ecumenical worship service with us on Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m. at our main center in Timonium. The service includes Roman Catholic Communion.Hours or times of day volunteers are needed: Varies
Special skills required or recommended for this position: Interest in sharing spiritual growth and friendship.
