ESL Classroom Assistant for Immigrant Youth (at Commodore John Rodgers)
This position is suitable for:
Help immigrant youth in Baltimore learn English through the Esperanza Center (this volunteer position will be located at Commodore John Rodgers). Through Esperanza's Youth ESL program you will get the chance to help a great group of young (6th - 8th grade) students at Commodore John Rodgers improve their English. As a volunteer, you can assist our ESL teacher with lessons, assignments, activities, and games. Occasionally you may sit with specific students to help them catch up or work on something with which they are struggling.

Hours or times of day volunteers are needed: Mondays and Thursdays, 3:00 to 5:00 PM (January 19 through April 6)
Special skills required or recommended for this position: Volunteers should have a command of the English language (no additional language skills required)
