Position description

Volunteers will assist with the Structured Therapeutic Arts and Recreation (STAR) Program. Volunteers on weekdays typically help with art projects, prepare materials, facilitate the activity, and help children one-on-one. Volunteers on Saturdays typically play sports with the children, helping them to learn the games and follow the rules. This is an excellent opportunity for high school and college students.

Hours or times of day volunteers are needed: Must be able to volunteer one time a week for at least a semester. Weekday evenings or Saturday mornings.

Special skills required or recommended for this position: Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. All prospective candidates must pass background checks, attend the volunteer training session, and complete orientation.
