Villa Maria School Dulaney Valley Campus

Welcome!

Our middle school is located at 2300 Dulaney Valley Rd. in Timonium, Maryland. We provide extensive educational and clinical services for children and youth with severe emotional disturbances who need more intensive services than those available through the public school system. Children between the ages of 11 and 14 are eligible for admission. Academic instruction and behavioral treatment are individualized and highly structured. 

Villa Maria School at Timonium offers:

• self-contained classrooms with a staff to pupil ration of 1:4
• comprehensive clinical programs that respond to the individual needs of each student
• behavioral specialists to help children who need time out of the classroom
• middle school and ninth grade programming
• prevocational programs where children develop independent living skills through hands-on activities
• enrichment in art, music, media, and computer instruction and physical education that includes traveling sports teams
• individual, group, and family psychotherapy
• art, speech, language and occupational therapies
• psychiatric services
• psychological evaluation and consultation
• diagnostic and prescriptive services
• case management
• parent workshops and support groups
• year-round programming
• volunteer services
• mentoring programs

Goals:

The goals of Villa Maria School are to:

• return each student to the least restrictive educational setting as soon as possible
• provide an educational and social skills program geared to the student's developmental needs
• offer a comprehensive, success-oriented curriculum and an array of therapeutic and support services for children and their families
