Volunteer at St. Vincent's Center

"The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you do not expect to sit." - Nelson Henderson
St. Vincent’s Center has been serving Maryland’s most vulnerable children since 1856. St. Vincent’s Center is a home for 70 boys and girls aged 3-13 with emotional and behavioral problems, often resulting from abuse and neglect. At St. Vincent’s, children receive state-of-the-art treatment while living in a home like setting in one of our six cottages in Timonium, Maryland. Our children need to form relationships with committed volunteers who will help them to heal and hope. We have many weekly volunteer opportunities and some occasional opportunities for those unable to commit to weekly volunteering (see below). If you have questions or would like to become a volunteer, please see the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page, or contact Cyndi Mitchell-Summers, Director of Volunteer Services for St. Vincent’s Center at 410-252-4000 x1606 or cmitchel@cc-md.org.
