Pastoral Care at Depaul House & St. Joachim House

Fr. Godswill Agbagwa
Fr. Godswill’s ministry on the Jenkins Campus includes daily mass, administering the sacraments, group sessions and making pastoral visits to the over 460 members of the Jenkins family. One of his weekly group sessions known as 'Moment of Grace' is with elders who live in DePaul House and St. Joachim House where he also has an apartment. Their conversations at “Moment of Grace,” cover a range of topics from the readings of the week, to the lives of the Saints, to how we live our faith every day. Father sees his work with elders as an extension of his experience with his large extended family in Igboland Nigeria, where the tradition of revering elders is an integral part of everyday life. Father says that “Elders are a blessing in Igbo Culture” and that he finds joy and happiness in his pastoral ministry in his Jenkins family.
