Respite Care at Caritas House

Respite Care at Caritas House allows family caregivers to get away for a much needed vacation or simply time to themselves while giving them peace of mind knowing their loved one is being well cared for by our staff.

Respite Care offers all the services available to our assisted living residents at a flat rate of $130.00 per day with full payment due at the signing of the Respite Care Agreement. Respite care residents must stay a minimum of five (5) days. Families of potential respite care residents must complete Respite Care Application, Health Care Practitioner Form and Assisted Living Manager’s Assessment, and be assessed by our delegating RN to ensure Caritas House is able to meet the needs of the respite care resident prior to admission.

Respite care move-in occurs when these items are complete:
• Proof that the respite care resident is free from TB- results no more than 30 days prior to first day of respite care or chest x-ray within 6 months of first day of care.
• Prescriptions
• Copy of insurance cards
• Signed forms indicating name of primary care physician and pharmacy
• Copy of Advance Directive or Living Will
