Work 4 Success

The Work 4 Success Program is a comprehensive workforce development program that provides four essential services to the clients of Our Daily Bread Employment Center:

1. Job Readiness Training
2. Job Placement Assistance
3. Case Management Services
4. Retention Services

Classes for the Work 4 Success Program are held Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m.  All new students are required to attend all five classes and meet all class standards before they can be referred to a Placement Manager for job placement assistance.

To help raise their level of professionalism, and prepare them for the workforce, students are required to dress in business casual attire for the duration of the class and whenever visiting the Center for additional services.  Men are required to wear dress pants and a collared shirt and women must wear dress pants or skirts, and a blouse.

Upon completion of the five-day training session, graduates of the program receive a certificate of completion and begin working with a dedicated staff of Placement Managers, to assist them with finding and retaining suitable employment. Graduates receive job placement assistance by attending group placement meetings which are held every Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Working with dozens of Baltimore City and Baltimore County employers, Placement Managers locate job opportunities in numerous employment sectors, including transportation, healthcare, and food services.  Graduates of the program are then scheduled for interviews with companies and organizations that are seeking quality candidates to fill their vacancies.

To further assist them in a successful job search, graduates are provided with bus tokens and interview attire for scheduled interviews.  These are just a few of the many benefits that they have earned through their hard work, perseverance, and commitment to their personal & professional development.
