PNC Bank Employees Paint a Map on the Parking Lot at St. Jerome's Head Start

Thirteen employees from PNC Bank visited St. Jerome’s Head Start on July 20 to paint a giant, colorful map of the United States on the school’s front parking lot. The children will be delighted to see the map when they arrive in the fall and will be even more excited to learn as the map will be used in conjunction with a curriculum that addresses geography, cultural facts and health foods related to the states as the children physically walk across the map. Children will also enjoy participating in a range of physical activities connected to each state. For example, they will learn to square dance when they “visit" Texas.
Stephanie Dain, Investment Advisor and Vice President of PNC Wealth Management says, "The U. S. map project was a unique opportunity for my colleagues and me to create an interactive learning tool for the children of St. Jerome's. The process was a great team building experience and we all had such a wonderful feeling of accomplishment seeing what we had created. We hope the children enjoy the map for many years to come."
Catholic Charities is so grateful for PNC’s generous partnership spanning over 25 years. The generosity of PNC through critical funding support as well as the dedication of their employee’s volunteer efforts shows a tremendous commitment to the work of Catholic Charities and those we serve.
