Catholic Charities Leadership Academy Field Trip to Oak Crest

Members of the Catholic Charities Child and Family Services Division Leadership Academy visited Oak Crest Village retirment community on February 19th for a day of learning.
Oak Crest hosted ten employees of Catholic Charities along with two of the Leadership Academy’s board members, Ellen Torres, Director of Development, St. Vincent’s Center and Jocelyn Greger-Papa, Aquinas Unit Director, Villa Maria Continuum.
The afternoon program featured an array of leadership topics and discussions designed to educate and challenge the Leadership Academy class.

Presentations from the Oak Crest leadership team covered the issues of growing within an organization, teamwork amongst leaders, change management and workforce recruitment, training & development.
“The mission statement of Oak Crest is to share our gifts to create a community that celebrates life,” stated Louis Maranto, Sales Director at Oak Crest and former Board Member of Catholic Charities of Baltimore. “Working with the Catholic Charities Leadership Academy was a terrific way for the team to share their work and life experiences with a new generation of leaders. We were thrilled to host such an energetic and engaging group.”
