Women at My Sister's Place Women's Center taste the healthy and delicious treats they just learned to make
My Sister’s Place Women’s Center has partnered with The Cancer Project, a non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C, to provide the Food for Life Nutrition and Cooking Class series for guests and volunteers. The classes, which began in August and run through September, are designed by physicians, nutrition experts, and dietitians at The Cancer Project. The class series covers a variety of cancer-related nutrition topics and demonstrates how to prepare a variety of meals loaded with antioxidants and phytochemicals, high-fiber and low-fat foods, and healthy dairy alternatives.  The series also provides information on planning meals and maintaining a healthy weight. Classes are held every Friday from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. at My Sister’s Place Women’s Center.
