My Sister's Place

Welcome

Allison, a volunteer, (left) welcomes a young mother and her daughter to My Sister’s Place, a day shelter for homeless women and their children.

Each morning when My Sister’s Place opens its door, homeless women and their children in Baltimore City know they have a safe and supportive environment where they can spend their day.  We provide shower and laundry facilities, case management, life skills workshops, parenting classes, GED preparation, breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Even more importantly, we provide the resources and direct services our clients need to begin the transition back to residential stability and self-sufficiency.  Each day is an opportunity to help our clients believe in themselves and explore new opportunities.
