Tiffany Gets Back on Her Feet and Finds a New Career at MSP Lodge![]() As a college graduate and gainfully employed young adult, Tiffany believed she had done everything right. After years of hard work she had built a life she was proud of. When the economy took a turn for the worst and her company downsized, Tiffany lost her job. With marketable skills and years of experience, Tiffany thought she would be back to work in no time. Searching everywhere to find new employment Tiffany soon realized how tight the job market had become and found it impossible to secure work. Tiffany slowly depleted her savings to continue paying her rent and basic necessities. Tiffany's sister did all she could to support her while she was looking for a job. Soon Tiffany was unable to pay for storage and everything was taken, even the pictures of her parents who she had lost at an earlier age. With help from friends and her family wearing thin, she found herself homeless. Devastated and alone, Tiffany made her way to a Code Blue shelter in Baltimore City to spend the night while she spent her days on the streets. During her stay at the shelter, Tiffany was referred to My Sister's Place Lodge. There she was welcomed and offered a safe and warm environment where she could receive the support and services she so desperately needed to get her life back on track. After several months of working with her case manager and finding a new career path as a Certified Geriatric Nursing Assistant, Tiffany was ready to stand on her own once again. Tiffany says this has been an extremely humbling experience which has taught her a lot about what is really important in life and how vital it is that we all help support each other. To show her appreciation, Tiffany volunteers at My Sister's Place Women's Center and has decided to dedicate her life to helping others by pursing a career in hospice care. She is currently taking classes towards earning her Registered Nursing degree. Learn more about Tiffany's experience and hear from her how the generosity of others has impacted her life in this video testimonial.
