My Sister's Place Women's Center

MSPWC is a comprehensive resource center, a single location, where women can find out where to get the help they need with health, mental health, returning to work, and financial problems. Many services are offered at our location, including 3 meals a day, a day room shelter, and laundry facilities.

We offer case management and services at the Center, including:

• Breakfast, lunch, and dinner
• Education and life skills training
• Housing assistance
• Benefits advice and enrollment
• Case management
• Emergency financial assistance
• Linkages to other community providers (mental health and addiction services)
• Financial literacy services
• Personal services (e.g., shower and laundry facilities, mail and telephone access, etc.)
• Day room with comfortable seating, a fireplace, and television
• Three large classrooms for workshops
• An enclosed play area for children

We serve women, and their children, in need in Baltimore City

Funding

The program is located at 17 W. Franklin Street, as well as two adjacent townhouses (former Our Daily Bread location). These structures have undergone substantial renovation. Catholic Charities raised approximately one-third of the funds for construction from public sources and the remainder from private sources, including the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, Aegon Transamerica Foundation, and Middendorf Foundation.
