2010 Bridesmaids’ BINGO Woman of the Year Award
This year My Sister’s Place Women’s Center is honoring Dr. Mary Jo Johnson as its Woman of the Year. This honor is given each year to an outstanding member of the My Sister Place Women’s Center community who has given of herself to empower the women served by the Center. Dr. Mary Jo Johnson has been dedicated to the My Sister’s Place Women’s Center since its opening in November 2008. Her involvement has included managing a group of 40 women who cook and serve homemade meals to the impoverished women and their children of the Center three times a month. In addition to managing this remarkable group of volunteers, she organizes donation drives throughout the year to collect canned goods and other items the Center needs. With a demanding schedule as Director of the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine at York Hospital, this remarkable volunteer always finds time to lend a helping hand.
Please join us for Bridesmaids' BINGO on May 12, 2010, at 6 p.m. at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center as we honor this amazing woman and the wonderful work of My Sister’s Place Women’s Center.
