Volunteer at Villa Maria

The Volunteer and Intern Program connects children with adults who aspire to make a difference!

Our volunteer mentors, interns, and members of the Friends of Villa Maria are individuals who have discovered they have a heart for helping children.  We refer to this dynamic group as our Hearts & Heroes group and they are regularly featured in our bi-annual newsletter that is distributed to our Villa Maria community of friends.

Listed below are some of the many opportunities for those wanting to connect with our program.  If you or your group (corporate, church, civic, etc.) are interested in volunteering, please contact Carol Shear at 410-252-4700 or e-mail her at cshear@cc-md.org.  Carol will be happy to provide further information and get you started on your journey of making a difference in the lives of the children and families we serve.

Consider joining our Hearts & Heroes Group to:

• Be a mentor and work one-on-one with a child in need of a special visitor, either in our Villa Maria School or our Residential Treatment Center.
• Participate as an undergraduate or graduate intern and discover the advantages of gaining your professional experience from a program that is nationally recognized as a leader in behavioral health.
• Sign-up as a member of the Friends of Villa Maria and learn about the many opportunities to support our fund-raising efforts.
• Gather together with your co-workers and participate in a Day of Caring as you complete a fun project to enhance our program.
• Come together with your group and sponsor a special activity for our children and see how smiles really are contagious.
