Informal Citizenship Classes
The Esperanza Center is now holding free Citizenship Classes to help permanent residents become U.S. citizens. We started our first class this past Fall and are continuing with more classes this Spring. These classes are being offered through a partnership with Baltimore City Community College and are taught by professional ESOL teachers.
The classes have rolling admission, so a student can enter at any time during the session and then continue as they like, into the next ongoing sessions. We have students from all over the world. The students study U.S. History and Government, plus have mock interviews, all in preparation for the 3 types of examinations they have to pass.
Classes are offered every Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
We are very happy to be able to offer this wonderful service!
