Services Available at the Esperanza CenterHours of Operation ![]() Monday-Thursday We provide the following services:English as a Second Language (ESL) ProgramOur ESL program is unique in the area because we offer flexible schedules for volunteers and students. Our drop-in classes are comprised of small groups and one-on-one teaching. The ESL program also includes short-term structured classes in partnership with Baltimore City Community College and a computer lab. Schedule for English as a Second Language classes: Monday through Friday Tuesday and Thursday 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Employment PlacementEmployers and employees are matched during the daily employment job club conducted at our center. Healthcare Services CenterThrough the collaborative efforts and partnerships with local hospitals, clinics, the Health Department of Baltimore City and County and many volunteer services of generous physicians, we are able to provide healthcare services including:
We guide and educate our clients on accessing services in the school system, medical system and their day-to-day needs. We provide assistance with school forms, written applications, passport applications and many other forms. Additionally, we assist clients by referring them to appropriate services such as housing, legal aid, and healthcare. We can help and refer our clients dealing with issues involving the MVA, non-immigration legal situations, and utility and other billings. Our staff can also offer translation services for written documents such as birth certificates and school records, for phone conversations, and for personal situations. |
