Mario Aguilar Credits the Esperanza Center for Teaching Him English

My name is Mario. I am from Tlapa Comonfort in Guerrero, Mexico. Seven years ago I came with my wife to Baltimore. My son was born here in Baltimore City and I was happy for him.

In my country I played music, it’s called tropical music. I am in a band here. I can play many different instruments.

For now I came to learn English and I practice Spanish because my first language is Mixteco.

One year ago I wanted to learn English so I came to the Esperanza Center. Thank God today I can practice three languages.

Thanks for everything the volunteers teach me at the Esperanza Center.
