Welcome to
Project FRESH Start

Family relocation, empowerment
and self-help

Project FRESH Start helped Patrice and her daughter, Brittnie, transition from homelessness to a stable residence along their journey towards self-sufficiency.

At Project FRESH Start, we help eligible homeless families attain self-sufficiency and economic independence through employment and stabilization of the family unit through stable housing.  Using a comprehensive approach, we provide thirty-five families with safe and appropriate housing, while engaging children and parents in intensive, focused case management and support services.

During the time a family is in our program, we provide housing, counseling, referrals to remedial education, life and job skills training, parenting workshops, financial literacy workshops, case management, and a host of community services.  Because of the array of services we offer, the parents in our families are able to secure employment and the children make successful progress in the Baltimore City Schools.  We help build families that will succeed across the generations.

“Project FRESH Start helped me to find my inner strength. The caseworkers are always full of hugs and open ears. They continue to guide me in the right direction, and I continue to learn how to care for my family. I can’t thank them enough.”
Kelley Boyd
