On December 7, 167 supporters gathered at the Our Daily Bread Employment Center to celebrate the 31st Leadership Breakfast Campaign. Kathleen Kirkpatrick, a resident of Catholic Charities Starner Hill Senior Housing Community, shared the story of her inspirational journey from homelessness to hope. The campaign is Catholic Charities' largest source of private operating support. Abbey Smith, Chair of this year's campaign announced that the Committee was well on its way to reaching its goal of $2.5 million and had raised $2.3 million to date.
With a staggering increase in the demand for services and the increasingly complex nature of those demands, the importance of private operating support has never been more critical. The funds raised through the efforts of the Leadership Campaign Committee enables Catholic Charities to implement innovative programs that create powerful changes in the lives of tens of thousands of families and individuals each year.
Your compassion and generosity improves the lives of those suffering the hardships of poverty, hunger and homelessness. Catholic Charities offers life sustaining services such as meals and shelter that lead to an array of opportunities designed to move families and individuals toward a life of independence. On behalf of the Board of Trustees, clients, volunteers and staff of Catholic Charities, our deepest gratitude is extended to all those who have made a contribution.
