Volunteer Opportunities

Would you like to be a part of this exciting and family-friendly event?  If yes, then you’re in luck! We’re looking for folks to volunteer a couple of hours on race day. If you’ve helped out before, you already know this to be a fantastic event for which there are many volunteer needs to fill.

Are you good with children? Enjoy hands-on activities? Are you an experienced face painter? Come have some fun in the Arts & Crafts Tent where you can assist children of all ages with simple and easy projects!

Do you have sales or retail experience? Could you sell a raincoat to someone in the desert? Spend a few hours promoting hip Dragon Boat gear in the Merchandise Tent.

Ever worked in food service? Don’t mind handing out munchies to hungry paddlers? Come hang out with the cool kids in the Food & Beverage Tent.

Registered nurse? Don’t mind listening to the woes of the injured paddler? Help out in the First-Aid Tent.

Neat freak? Clean-up more your thing? You can never have too many helping hands in this department!

Jack of all trades? Nothing we mentioned floating your boat? Give us a call regardless – we’ll be sure to find a job that suits you.

Below please find a list of opportunities in a variety of areas including Tent City, Port-a-pot Maintenance and First-Aid to name a few. Contact Patricia Newman at (410) 547-5553 or via e-mail at pnewman@cc-md.org to sign up or for further information.
