Villa Maria Continuum is committed to assuring community access to programs that promote the well being of children and families, increase the strength and stability of families, increase parental competence and afford children the chance to experience a safe and supportive environment. BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CLINICS

Villa Maria Continuum provides outpatient behavioral health services to children, adults and families across Maryland.  Services include individual, family and group therapy, parent/guardian training in behavioral health, case coordination services, psychiatric evaluation and consultation, medication management
(as part of therapy), school based behavioral health services, general information, and referral services.

SCHOOL BASED OUTPATIENT SERVICES

Villa Maria Continuum provides school based mental health services in Baltimore City, Anne Arundel, Harford, Baltimore, and Frederick Counties.

THERAPEUTIC AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
An intensive community based service in two Baltimore locations for children experiencing behavioral and emotional problems in their homes, schools and communities.

Children ages 5-13

WHITE OAK SCHOOL PROGRAM
Provides clinical services to children and families in the White Oak School.
Eligibility:
Enrollment in White Oak School.

SCHOOL CONSULTATION PROGRAM
A behavioral health consultation program for teachers and staff in parochial schools in Central Maryland.

Enrollment in an Archdiocesan School that participates in the program

IN- HOME SUPPORT SERVICES

Depending on the jurisdiction in which the child and family reside, the Villa Maria Continuum offers a number of programs that take the services to the family.

IN- HOME INTERVENTION PROGRAM
An intensive in-home intervention step-down, diversion and stabilization program designed to empower and maintain children in their respective community.
Eligibility: 
  Must be a resident of Baltimore County, Harford, Anne Arundel, Prince Georges Counties, or Baltimore City

HOME BASED RESPITE PROGRAM
Provides one-on-one activity with the child in the family’s home or community, permitting the caretaker to attend to other demands.
Eligibility:  Must be a resident of Cecil, Harford, or Baltimore Counties

BRIDGES TO SUCCESS
Provides delinquency prevention services to Middle and High School youth with severe behavioral problems, such as truancy, running away, and uncontrollable behavior.
Eligibility: 
Must be a Harford County resident

PROJECT PREPARE
Provides early intervention to Elementary school children with severe behavioral problems, such as truancy, running away, or uncontrollable behavior.
Eligibility: 
Enrollment in Magnolia elementary school in Harford Co.

CSI-COMMUNITY SERVICES INITIATIVE
Provides wrap around services to children who are at risk of a residential placement or who are returning from a residential placement.
Eligibility:
Children under the age of 21 residing in Harford Co. referred by the Local Management Board or the Core Service Agency

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY HOSPITAL
DIVERSION PROGRAM

Anne Arundel resident enrolled in a public mental health system and eligible for targeted case management.

CRISIS RESPONSE

BALTIMORE CHILD AND ADOLESCENT RESPONSE SYSTEM (B-CARS)
This program provides comprehensive community- based services for children in psychiatric crisis to divert or shorten in-patient hospitalization. B-Cars offers a unique and comprehensive array of crisis services for up to 14 days. These include:

  • Mobile Crisis Services
    24 Hours a day, 7 days a week
    New Intakes:
    10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Mon thru Friday
  • Intensive In-home Intervention
    24 Hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Enhanced Client Support
    24 Hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Residential Crisis Beds                    

    Eligibility: Baltimore City resident and be under the age of 18. Youth are eligible for admission to B-Cars if they are experiencing a psychiatric crisis that could result in a referral to an emergency room. Such a crisis might include serious threats of harm to self or others.

EARLY CHILDHOOD

SAFE START
Provides early screening, intervention and referral for children at risk of abuse and neglect.

Eligibility:
Must be in one of the following Harford County Programs, MD Rural Development Corp., Head Start Aberdeen Family Support Day Center, Infants and Toddlers, Early Head Start, DSS, Family Tree, Child Find.

HEAD START AND
EARLY HEAD START CONSULTATION
Provides behavioral consultation and mental health services to children and families in specific Baltimore City, Baltimore, Harford, and Carroll Co. Head Start and Early Head Start Programs.
Eligibility:
Enrollment in participating Head Start Program.
