Chara House
A Program of St. Vincent's Center
Chara House is more than just a house. It is a home of hope and healing for eight medically fragile and/or developmentally challenged infants and toddlers. Chara House’s professional multi-disciplinary treatment team provides them with a full array of therapeutic and medical services designed to stabilize and enhance their lives and growth. Families whose children reside at Chara House are encouraged to partner with staff in their children’s treatment and also have the opportunity to be assisted with a variety of services for themselves.
“Chara is a safe, loving and nurturing family setting where all the children’s medical, developmental, social and emotional needs are met in an exceptional manner. They provide a supportive atmosphere to families, encourage frequent visitation and are strong advocates for reunification when appropriate. The staff at Chara are very concerned about the children’s welfare and always put their needs first. I could think of no better place for special needs infants, toddlers and their families other than Chara.”
