Anna's House

Chris Kerr, one of Anna’s Guys, and the children of Anna’s House spend the afternoon at the Baltimore Zoo. Anna's Guys are a group of dedicated volunteers who take time each week to visit and play with the children of Anna's House.

At Anna’s House, we offer transitional and permanent housing for homeless women and their children in Harford County. These families are provided with a safe environment in which to live, counseling, career and life skills training, and employment assistance helping the women of Anna’s House to achieve independence.

Anna’s House plays an important role in the Harford County community, and, in turn, the community is an active participant in improving the lives of the women and children of Anna’s House. The Harford County Department of Social Services, Wage Connection, Harford County Community College, and Harford County Health Department and Core Services all play a vital role in assisting the formerly homeless residents of Anna’s House become independent and self-sufficient families.

Anna's Guys, as they are so affectionately known, are agroup of dedicated volunteers who are providing positive male role models in the lives of the children living at Anna’s House. Since November 2008, Anna’s Guys has grown to include 33 men, who take turns signing up to spend either a Wednesday evening or a Saturday afternoon with Anna’s House children over 5 years old.
