St. Jerome's Fathers and their Children Gather for Movie Night With Santa
St. Jerome’s Head Start students and their fathers gathered at St. Jerome’s Head Start on December 10 for Movie Night with Santa. They snacked on nachos, popcorn, hot dogs, and cookies while watching Merry Madagascar. After the movie, the children took turns sitting on Santa’s lap and others colored holiday pictures with their dads. About 150 students and their fathers attended the party which was one of many events coordinated throughout the year to increase fathers’ involvement with their children.
"It's a great opportunity for the children to have their own special time with their fathers and other significant males in their lives," said Mary Gunning, director of St. Jerome's Head Start. "They all had a wonderful time."
