Who We Are - Harford County Head Start
Catholic Charities Early Head Start of Harford County is a comprehensive family and child development program committed to providing quality services to pregnant women, children from birth to three years old, and their families. The program operates on the belief that all families have strengths upon which to build, and that by respecting parents as the primary nurturers and educators of their children, a partnership is established to assist families in reaching their goals.
The Catholic Charities Early Head Start places a strong emphasis on family support services in the areas of adult education, career readiness and the personal development of parents as contributing members of the community. Parents are involved in the governance of the program through the Policy Council which serves as an advisory board. Children participate in the child development classroom which operates Monday through Friday, from 9:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Parents will participate in the program option which best suits their strengths and needs, and receive services based on their identified goals.
