Energy Advocates

Energy Advocates is a statewide coalition of advocacy groups, service providers, faith-based and mission-driven organizations that advocates for policies and programs that meet the energy needs of Maryland's low- and moderate-income citizens.

The Maryland Alliance for the Poor (MAP)

A coalition of advocates, service providers, and faith communities that advocates for public policies and funding that protect and enhance the well-being and dignity of Marylanders living in or near poverty. MAP believes state policy should help Marylanders with limited financial resources to move beyond their current circumstances.

Maryland Association of Community Services (MACS)

A private, non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening agencies to better support people with developmental disabilities and their families in their own communities.

Maryland Association of Resources for Families and Youth (MARFY)

A provider network committed to strengthening families, youth, and communities through its advocacy for a responsive and accountable system of care that provides high-quality, holistic, and culturally competent services to those in need.

Maryland Interfaith Legislative Committee (MILC)

A coalition of major faith communities that advocates for public policy positions that stem from its members’ shared religious values, particularly on issues that affect vulnerable and marginalized members of our society, including those who are poor, aged, and new to our country.

Maryland Mental Health Coalition

The mission of the Maryland Mental Health Coalition is to increase awareness and understanding of mental health/illness and effective treatment which promotes early identification, resilience, and recovery; and to advocate for public policies which ensure a consumer driven system of culturally competent mental health services is available to all Maryland citizens in need of care which provides resiliency and recovery driven effective, efficient, and accessible care. Membership is comprised of non-profit advocacy, consumer, community, faith, family, professional, and provider organizations.  

Maryland Senior Citizen Action Network (MSCAN)

Comprised of advocacy groups, service providers, faith-based, and mission-driven organizations. MSCAN advcoates for policies to meet the housing and health care needs of Maryland’s low- and moderate-income senior citizens.

Welfare Advocates (WA)

Welfare Advocates supports and promotes effective programs to help families move beyond welfare and the provision of an adequate safety net for families in need. WA hosts an annual conference that is widely attended by front-line workers, advocates, and policymakers.
