Legislative Alerts
An invitation to action - at your fingertips
In a brief alert we offer details about an issue of concern, explain implications of the legislation, and request that you respond to your elected officials. The state legislative session is only 90 days long, but critical decisions are made in that short time that affect vulnerable Marylanders. You can help ensure that legislative decisions are in the best interest of those in need, thereby building a healthier community for all of us.
From January to April, we will list the most up-to-date legislative alerts. By responding to them, you can make a difference!

“Society as a whole and in all its diversity is responsible for building up the common good. But it is the government's role to guarantee the minimum conditions that make this rich social activity possible, namely, human rights and justice. This obligation also falls on individual citizens as they choose their representatives and participate in shaping public opinion.” -Economic Justice for All, United States Catholic Bishops
