Pregnancy, Parenting, and Adoption Planning ServicesFacing an unplanned pregnancy may be the most difficult challenge you've ever faced. Considering adoption takes courage and maturity, as well as selfless love for your child. We're glad you found your way to Catholic Charities website because we've helped hundreds of expectant parents in your situation. At Catholic Charities' Pregnancy, Parenting and Adoption Services, we will be by your side to help you to make the best decision for you. We will support you whatever you ultimately choose - to make an adoption plan or to parent your child. We realize the decision must be yours. We can offer understanding and support, as well as information and guidance to help you make a decision that you are comfortable with. At Catholic Charities' Pregnancy, Parenting and Adoption Services, we understand how difficult an unplanned pregnancy can be and we are sensitive to your emotions and needs. We can help you through this difficult time by providing a caring place to sort out your feelings about the pregnancy, carefully explore your options, assess your readiness to parent at this time, and learn more about adoption. If you decide on adoption, we can help you connect with an adoptive family and make an adoption plan that is right for you. If you decide to parent, we can help you get a good start in parenting your child and find the resources in the community to help you. At Catholic Charities we focus on and support you. Advocacy and SupportWe will be your advocate as you progress through your pregnancy and make your decision. If you choose adoption we will help you plan your child's adoption. We will support you all along the way, including the critical time immediately after your child's birth and the weeks and months after placement. We believe it is important that you take the time you need after delivery to consider your adoption plan. We offer a short period of Interim Family Care for your baby, if you need it, prior to finalizing your decision and placing the child with the adoptive parents. Respect and ConfidentialityYou will be treated with respect and dignity as you learn more about your options. We are aware that your choice to consider adoption is often misunderstood by others. There are many misconceptions and stereotypes regarding adoption and what it means in people's lives. Catholic Charities is one place where you will not be judged or pressured. Everything that we discuss with you will be kept in complete confidence.
